2. Germany

Visitors from Germany were the second largest visitors to the Canary’s in 2019. They accounted for 17.5% of all visitors.

61% of Germans say the Sea is a key factor in visiting the islands.

They stay an average 10.71 nights.

They spend an average of 1276 Euro per person.

Spend per day 132 Euro.

4 star hotels are the most popular accommodation choice at 46%

All inclusive packages are the most popular for German visitors at 40%

Gran Canaria is the most popular Island for Germans with 33% of all visits.

3. Spain

Visitors from the Spanish mainland were the third-largest visitors to the Canary Islands in 2019.

66% say climate is an important factor.

Room only is the most popular option for Spanish visitors at 30%

4. The Netherlands

Visitors from the Netherlands were the fourth largest visitors to the Canary Islands in 2019.

      Hi Eamon. The Finns are there but are the 13th largest visitors. I had done a top 10. Here are some stats for Finland.
      84% say the climate is important.
      They stay an average of 9.56 nights.
      Spend 1439 euro per stay. The highest spend I have seen.
      Daily spend 173 Euro per day. The highest daily spend I have seen.
      4-star hotels are the most popular accommodation at 27%.
      Room only is the most popular option at 37%.
      Gran Canaria is the most popular Island with 51% of Finns.
